We keep data collection minimal: no login is required. We use analytics to understand feature usage and improve the product.
What we collect
- Usage analytics (PostHog): events such as app opens, button taps, screens viewed, device type, OS version, approximate region, and a pseudonymous per‑install identifier. We do not collect your precise location.
- Crash data: Apple provides anonymized crash and performance diagnostics to help us fix issues. We do not use third‑party crash SDKs.
- Purchases: subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive non‑sensitive purchase metadata (e.g., product ID, transaction status) but never your card details.
How we use data
- Provide core functionality.
- Operate and improve the app (feature decisions, debugging, performance).
- Prevent misuse and maintain service integrity.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not send marketing emails or newsletters.
Third‑party services
- OpenAI (AI processing): We use the OpenAI API to perform certain AI related operations. Your input and output are transmitted to their servers for processing.
- PostHog (analytics): We use PostHog to measure app usage using a pseudonymous identifier. You can request deletion—see “Your rights”.
- Apple (payments & crash reports): In‑app purchases and crash diagnostics are provided by Apple. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
- Firebase: Firebase is used to securely communicate across APIs, we do not store any data on their servers.
We do not sell your personal data.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
- Contract: to deliver requested features (generate content, manage purchases).
- Legitimate interests: to understand usage, improve stability, and prevent abuse. You can object—see “Your rights”.
- Consent: where required (e.g., optional notifications if introduced in future).
Data retention
We retain analytics and diagnostics only as long as needed for the purposes above, then aggregate or delete. We do not store any other data. Purchase records are kept as required for accounting and fraud prevention. OpenAI and Firebase request logs may be retained according to their policy.
International transfers
Our processors may store or process data in the EEA, the UK, and the United States. Where applicable, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, object to, delete, or export your data. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may ask for information to verify your request.
Children
The app is rated 4+ on the App Store and is for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent/guardian and believe your child has provided data, contact us to delete it.
Security
We use industry‑standard safeguards to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date and, if changes are significant, provide notice in the app.
